Since 2004, Forthright Radio has featured interviews with leading figures in science, culture and politics. It is hosted and produced by Joy LaClaire.

Originally broadcast from the Philo Studios of Mendocino County Public Broadcasting (KZYXfm), since 2014 it has been produced at the Beyond the Deep End studio in Bozeman, MT.

New Forthright Radio programs can be streamed at http://www.kzyx.org on the second & fourth Fridays of the month at 9:00 a.m. (PT), and http://www.kgvm.org every Saturday & Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. (MT).

Forthright Radio is a Beyond the Deep End Production, which also produces Ecotones, Harmonics, and Radio Goes to the Movies.

Joy LaClaire is the recipient of the 2024 Spirit of Broadcasting Award from the Montana Broadcasters Association and the Greater Montana Foundation.
